Casey's Christmas in Jail: Roast Beef, Gifts, and Candy Canes, Too
Casey Anthony will not be allowed to attend the funeral of her daughter, Caylee Anthony, whom Casey is charged with first degree murder.
The fact that Casey is charged with a capital felony (murder), it is unlikely that Casey will have privileges to attend even if her defense motions the court for a special request.

AS OF 12/23/08 7PM: Casey has not petitioned the court for special permission to attend the funeral, nor has plans to. In a statement from her defense, Casey will not attend the funeral or memorial, because she does not want to be the "center of attention", or have the service be turned into a media spectacle...
out of respect for Caylee at this time, I will refrain from commenting on this statement.
However, Casey will be having a Christmas dinner of Roast beef, mashed potatoes and bread. She will also receive gifts which include candy canes, socks and a pocket calendar.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Caylee's remains have been moved to a funeral home.

Caylee Anthony would have been enjoying her 4th Christmas as an energetic 3 year old. The perfect age to begin realizing the meaning of Christmas as Jesus' birthday, waiting for Santa, and all the traditions.
Instead, there will be a funeral held after the second autopsy of her remains. It is alleged Caylee succumbed at the hands of her own mother, Casey, on or around June 15, 2008, a month and a half shy of Caylee's third birthday. As of Tuesday afternoon, Caylee's remains have been moved to a funeral home.

Caylee Anthony Memorial Toys To Be Donated To Needy Children; Funeral and/or Memorial Arrangements Not Set (updated)

Speaking through attorney Brad Conway, George and Cindy Anthony have made arrangements to have all the toys and stuffed animals donated to the Orlando Rescue Mission. Hundred of toys and stuffed animals are being left at a tree designated as a memorial for Caylee.
Conway said that it was George and Cindy's wish and that Caylee would want as well, for the toys and animals to benefit children that would otherwise not have a Christmas this year. Conway states there are about 88 children that will benefit from the donation.
Also, George and Cindy went to church service this morning. There is no word yet of funeral arrangements or a memorial for Caylee at this time.
The Anthony's said they would like to visit their daughter, Casey, where she is incarcerated at that Orange County jail, but can not because of the taped visitations.

UPDATE: 12/22/08: The general public as well as those leaving mementos at the memorial for Caylee are upset at the Anthony's removal of the items left in memory of Caylee. The Anthony's have agreed that any animals or toys left at the memorial site with notes attached for Caylee will remain at the site, while others will be donated to a local homeless shelter to be distributed to less fortunate children for Christmas. A second memorial has began at the crime scene as well.

**UPDATE 12/22** Search Warrant Executed on Anthony's Home Saturday
(original post with link to video below)
UPDATE 12/22/08:
Crime scene investigators stripped Caylee Anthony's room and then raided Casey's closet during a recent search of the home.
Crime scene investigators have confiscated boxes of items from the Anthony home two times in the past week.
Last Thursday, 12/18/08, investigators were focused on Caylee Anthony. They took her clothes, shoes and her toys.
Over the weekend, another search warrant was executed and investigators came back for Casey Anthony's belongings. They took more of Caylee's clothes, five to eight pairs of Casey shoes and her clothes as well.
Legal expert Bill Sheaffer believes investigators are trying to take as many items as possible to help build their case because they don't have a cause of death.
"Any forensic evidence linking Casey to the scene is extremely important for the states prosecution," said Sheaffer.
We are also told investigators took soil samples from the Anthony home. Once defense attorney Jose Baez found out that the samples were taken as part of the evidence, he sent out his own team and they collected soil from the home for there forensic experts.
It is also reported investigators also took two pairs of sunglasses and a pink-zippered bag.

A search warrant was issued on Cindy and George Anthony's home Saturday afternoon. This is the second search warrant issued on the home since the finding of remains of their granddaughter, Caylee Anthony, age 2, at time of disappearance.

Casey off Psych Watch; Visits with Pastor
The Rev. Shane Stutzman has been meeting with Casey Anthony since she was first arrested in July to provide support and prayer.
The Eastside Baptist Church pastor told WESH-TV that the jail requested that he visit Casey Anthony on Tuesday.
It was the first day that she had been taken off special psychological evaluation after jail officials said she suffered a meltdown on the day that the child's remains were discovered.
Stutzman was asked if he talked about the recent finding.
"We didn't go into that a whole lot. That's not my role. That's Jose Baez's role," Stutzman said. "This whole thing is unwinding a little bit at a time. I know, as a pastor, I'm going to be there to help them no matter what."
Stutzman said Casey Anthony remains hopeful despite the murder charge and word on Tuesday that investigators found even more bones at the crime scene.
Watch exclusive video fom WESH here.
*UPDATE: On Friday, December 19, 2008, when Casey was notified that the remains were those of her daughter, Caylee, Casey refused to speak to her pastor, opting for a visit from her attorney.

Ongoing Forensics At Possible Caylee Anthony Crime Scene
Day 5 At Crime Scene
WESH's Michelle Meredith discusses the ongoing forensics at the crime scene. Also shows the removal of Palmetto trees, which sources say contain clues to the crime. I would imagine it is the root system and soil surrounding the Palmettos to aid in timeline of how long the remains had been in that location. This can be determined by water level, saturation, insects, etc. All of the same clues that could be found on the remains.
Watch Michelle Meredith's report.

Leonard Padilla Back In Orlando

Memorial for Caylee
Public Grieving As Well
Neighbors of the Anthony's and the general public have placed memorials at the site where remains were found Thursday and also at the Anthony home. This case has touched so many people's lives, not only in Orlando, but around the country.
As one visitor to the site remarked, "Whether the remains are Caylee or not, this is someones little girl." "It is a sad situation."
People say they feel compelled to drive by the site and by the Anthony home. Most say it is a way for them to pay their respects. They feel the need to do something.
Bounty Hunter Returns to Orlando
A familiar face has returned to Orlando. Leonard Padilla arrived over the weekend. When asked how he felt when he heard news of finding the remains, Padilla replied, "Elation, then sadness." He says he is confident it is Caylee.
Padilla also stated that, "She was a little girl that had a lot of life in her and what a sad way to die."Video of Caylee Memorial Site/Leonard Padilla
