Labs To Analyze Haleigh Cummings Evidence

wesh.com
April 20, 2010
ORLANDO, Fla. --
.
Evidence collected during a search for Haleigh Cummings along the St. Johns River in Putnam County has been sent for analysis, officials with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said...
.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement assisted in the search, but an expert said the FDLE laboratory is usually called to analyze physical evidence, which includes human remains or items found near a body.
.
The University of Florida was also at the search. The same expert said UF specializes in body evidence, which includes analyzing any bones or body parts that are discovered...

.
Law Enforcement authorities still hold to the statement that no remains have been found.
I wonder if they are Croslin cousins too. just kidding. At least Leonard Padilla wasn't there, so they more than likely aren't chicken bones. I wonder if the bones that were found were attached to the cinder blocks that were removed from the river.
.
It was mentioned early on that there were cinder blocks stacked about 50 feet from the house, on the property of the rented Cummings trailer, and that was where the block holding open the door had probably come from. Cinder blocks can be matched by manufacture mark, or by examining the composition of blocks themselves--measuring the ratio of concrete to coal ash & remnants. Maybe even the composition of the concrete.

Helplessly hoping they have found her so her spirit can rest...

Authorities in Tennessee Question Misty Croslin's Relative About Haleigh's Disappearance

.
NASHVILLE, Tn. -- ...Misty Croslin's cousin, Joe Overstreet, was interviewed late Tuesday night.
.
The 20-year-old lives in Nashville, Tennessee...
.
His mother, who...is Misty Croslin's aunt, told First Coast News Tuesday...that "my son is at home not doing anything, not bothering anyone and people continue to bother him."
.
...Overstreet spent the Tuesday evening with family and friends. Then around 11:30 p.m. his attorney, Shawn Sirgo, showed up. The two talked...and then left in his attorney's car.
.
First Coast News followed the two to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in Nashville.
Overstreet and his attorney were escorted inside. Less than 45 minutes later, Overstreet was out and on his way back home...Sirgo says his client is innocent.

.
Now, I'm not defending Misty, but I must point out:
.
Even in the early interviews Misty gave, she says quite a few times that Joe could be responsible. At the beginning in an interview with Matt Lauer in front of the tent camp, she said "no, I'm not at all sure he had nothing to do with it."
.
She said he had been there that day with Tommy, she said he had been a criminal all his life.
.
Misty said he had "tried to mess with her when she was 13."
.
It was she that brought up the original and second stolen gun stories, and the "dream" of seeing Joe in the doorway with Haleigh.
.
Plus, Chelsea said he had taken her van that night, parking it differently than she had left it and that he slept in his clothes, which was unusual for him.
.
It was law enforcement that kept saying he was cleared.
.
In a jail phone call with her mom she says "I've told them all I know and they just don't listen."
.
Add in the fact that he left the morning that the news was breaking that Haleigh was missing. Planned or not, it seems odd he would leave at that time--like he didn't want to be interviewed--and did indeed avoid that until authorities in Tennessee interviewed him.
.
The problem for Misty as I see it is, who knew which statements were true, when she couldn't tell the same story twice?
.
Another report from a neighbor of the current search at Shell Harbour Way, east of 309, was that LE is asking if anyone has information on a 1990's Chrysler van...
.
And who drove a 1990's Chrysler Town & Country minivan?

.Right: a map from Google Earth that shows the area of the current search in proximity to 130 Magnolia St, Satsuma, a house that Hank Sr and Lisa Croslin were owners of until February of 2009. It is .3 miles. The entire Croslin family would have been familiar with that boat dock.

Misty Croslin at arraignment

right: Misty in Chains
By Dana Treen
February 19, 2010
.
PALATKA — As Misty Croslin stood before a judge in shackles and chains Thursday to face seven drug trafficking charges, a California bounty hunter was offering her a way out of jail in an exchange of information...
.
...bounty hunter Leonard Padilla said he was willing to pay a bond he estimated at $135,000 to get her out. The deal...“It’s got to lead me to Haleigh.”
.
...Padilla wants to question Croslin, then decide if he will arrange a bond.
.
On jail tapes with her mother Lisa, Misty Croslin is adamant that she be bonded out before they talk. That's not going to fly. Leonard was stung on that by Casey Anthony.
.
Padilla said he also has been helping Croslin’s parents and bought a 2001 Ford Taurus for her father, who is not working and says notoriety from Haleigh’s case has kept him from getting a job. Padilla said he also gave Hank Croslin money to meet expenses.
.
Croslin was arraigned on seven charges of trafficking Thursday and was brought to the courtroom in a blue jail uniform and with cornrows in her hair. Two of the charges were new, and could increase the bail. She faces an additional trafficking charge in St. Johns County.
.
...She looked somber during the appearance, wearing waist chains and handcuffs. Investigators from Haleigh’s case stood in the back of the courtroom during the hearing...
.
In another twist Thursday, Croslin’s mother, Lisa, was arrested on a warrant as she left the courthouse following an earlier hearing. The charge stems from an incident at the Palatka Walmart around Christmas, Hank Croslin Sr. said of his wife.
.
Lisa Croslin is charged with grand theft after a purse was reported stolen to the Palatka Police Department, authorities said. She was released on bail later in the day, according to Putnam County Sheriff’s Office jail records...
.
Good grief. What is wrong with these people?
.
They act without any apparent thought of consequences--is it a sense of entitlement or contempt for others who have dish soap?--mother and son are habitual thieves, Tommy is a burglar.
.
Not one seems to understand the concept of working a job to pay the bills, to be responsible to not only family but their community.
.
On the Croslin jailhouse tapes Tommy and Misty each try to get THEIR phone and commissary accounts padded and bail posted ahead of the other. They sound like they are 10 and 12, fighting over whose turn it is to sit in the front.
.
In Tommy's communications he constantly puts his wants over the needs of his wife and kids. He told his wife Linsey not to spend the income tax refund to buy beds for the boys, in case he could bond out. wth? He told her they could get money from her grandparents.
.
And both Tommy and Misty have spent many dollars on the phone telling their parents and sibling Timmy to spend their income tax refunds to get them out. No one works at all. It's really mind-boggling how selfish Tommy and Misty are. And then their mama likes a five-finger discount as well.
.
So, Padilla. He bought Hank and Lisa a 3K used car, which I'm sure is wired for sound, if not video. He also gave them money for "expenses" and is reportedly willing to help them get a place to live, which I would also suspect to be bugged. He's given Lisa a cell phone, a nice one "like Chelsea's". You can bet that has a nifty GPS device activated, and a detail monthly report with the bill. (If I remember correctly, Drew Peterson could pull up a website at any time and see where his missing wife's cell phone was, geographically--he could completely track her movement.)
.
If Padilla is doing this because his heart is in the right place, more power to him. But I suspect he really enjoys seeing his face on television.

Misty Croslin's Jailhouse phone call video with her mother

PALAKTA, Fla. -- New drug-related charges are about to be issued against Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators say a total of seven buys took place, all involving the drugs Hydrocodone and Oxycodone.
.
Misty tells her father on a jailhouse video call that she sold 8 to 9 times. Charges will be amended to add two charges...raising her bail to 1.2 million, not reducing it as Misty claims in the video...ain't that a bitch. what are they thinking? This is the most stupid family.

The father of HaLeigh Ann-Marie Cummings, the 5-year-old girl who has been missing since she was reported missing from her Putnam County home nearly a year ago, and his ex-wife were arrested Wednesday on drug trafficking charges after a monthlong undercover investigation, police said...
.
Ronald L Cummings is facing three counts of trafficking prescription medications, and his bond would be posted at $500,000, according to a statement from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office released late Wednesday.
Misty Janette Croslin, 18, Cummings’ live-in girlfriend when HaLeigh disappeared, is facing six counts of the same charge. Croslin’s bond was set at $950,000.
The Sheriff's Office said that on seven different occasions, undercover investigators purchased the painkillers Oxycodone and Hydrocodone from the suspects and estimated the "street value" of the drugs at $3,900.00...
.
Three others were also arrested in the ring.
Croslin’s brother, Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, of Satsuma, is facing one count of the trafficking charge. His bond was $100,000.

Hope A. Sykes, 18, of Satsuma, and Donna Brock, 44, of Orlando, were also arrested.
Sykes is facing one count and will be held on a $150,000 bond. Brock is also facing one count but will be held on a $250,000 bond...
.
Information was obtained that these individuals were unlawfully selling prescription medications in the community,” the release said. “Sheriff (Jeff Hardy) assigned detectives from the Drug/Vice Unit to the investigation. An undercover Putnam County Detective infiltrated this group, gaining the trust of these drug dealers.”
While the Sheriff’s Office did not connect the alleged drug ring and the disappearance of HaLeigh, the following was added to the bottom of the release..:

Where is Haleigh Cummings?

The Prairie Chicken
January 3, 2010

It's been a few months since there was any news in Putnam County Florida concerning Haleigh Cummings and her extended family. Leave it to Ron and Misty, though, to kick it up a notch to usher in the New Year.

Misty has reported to authorities that she has been receiving threatening phone calls and it is reported that has had at least one boyfriend since The Ronald.

Ron, in his usual fashion, tried to run a guy off the road (possibly Misty's boyfriend) and then threaten HIM with a gun; a gun Ron swears is locked up at the house.

Haleigh is still missing. Bless her little heart.

Misty Croslin and two friends Robbed buying Drugs

Officers Say Cummings, 2 Women Robbed At Apartment Complex

PALATKA, Fla. -- Palatka police said Misty Croslin, the former stepmother of missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings, and two other women were robbed Monday night.
Police said officers arrived at the Ragsdale Apartment Complex on Moody Road in Palatka at 8:15 p.m.

According to one of the victims, Brandy Steedley, 18, the women had driven to the complex so that one of the girls in the car could make [a drug] contact with a friend.

Police said as the girl was getting back to the vehicle, two or three unidentified men approached the vehicle. They reportedly grabbed Croslin and stole her purse.

Police said Croslin was able to get back in the vehicle, and she and Steedley drove off in the vehicle. The third girl, identified as 22-year-old Melinda Santmyer, ran off on foot...

The Haleigh Cummings disappearance saga

The Prairie Chicken
October 17, 2009

For the best coverage on the case, check out Art Harris on The Bald Truth. His articles are much more hands-on than the main-stream media. In the latest piece, Art talks about the verbal tiff between Tim Miller of Equusearch, father of kidnapped and murdered daughter Laura, and Marc Klass, father of kidnapped and murdered daughter Polly.

Klass started it by criticising Tim Miller's involvement with Donna Brock in relocating Misty Croslin to Orlando to get her away from Ronald, who had made verbal death threats against her, and to glean any possible additional information from Misty.

Miller immediately answered by finding, with his company, his 102nd missing person since he started in 2000. The shocker was Miller responding that Klass did nothing but make a living off of his dead daughters name. wow.

Attorney for Misty Cummings steps down

Misty apparently does have an attorney, as this week it was reported that she wants to rescind the restraining order against her brother Tommy. Mom Lisa finally made bond and has been released. She and Tommy are probably not allowed to leave the area without permission, both pending court dates. Her family will pull her back into the fold and they will go on, as families do.

And watch out ladies, Ronald M Cummings is back on the beef-cake market and is on the look-out for his next little girlfriend. Requirements: must be under 18, available to baby-sit and able to accept direction. For his part: he is an unemployed, smoking, drinking, known druggie and suspected drug dealer, who is abusive to women and children, likes to get in fist-fights and act like a tough guy, carries a gun and engages in mind-games and manipulation. And he lives with his grandma. What a catch.

As I predicted last week, when Nancy Grace confronted Ron Cummings on her television show and told him she didn't believe him, I thought we'd seen the last of him there. A lowly woman called him out on national tv. And sure enough, for the rest of the week all she had were clips from previous shows. It appears that the only women who are constant in his life are his mother and grandmother, both of which are apparently willing to financially support his grown-up self, fawn over him and call him Ronnie.

The good news, though, is that the DFS has opened another investigation into Ron Cummings as custodial parent based on Tim Miller's recounting Ron showing Tim an assault rifle, two 32 round clips and stated in front of Jr that Ron would shoot Misty, himself, and take out a couple of people with them. Tim Miller is an impeccable witness. Maybe they will finally see that Jr is in danger and let him go live with his mama.

Misty Cummings makes a splash in Lake Mary and flies off to New York

The stepmother of missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings was questioned in a road-rage incident, then left town for CBS appearance

Orlando Sentinel
Walter Pacheco Sentinel Staff Writer
October 8, 2009

...[Misty] and Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, 25, married about a month after Haleigh vanished from their home in Putnam County...
.
Then this week, Ronald hit the airwaves with news of the couple's impending divorce, and Misty surfaced in Metro Orlando during an alleged road-rage incident on Interstate 4.
.
"Every place Misty Cummings goes, she takes destruction with her," Texas-based EquuSearch founder Tim Miller, who helped search for Haleigh, said Thursday...
.
In the latest incident, deputies on Wednesday detained Cummings and one of Miller's volunteers for allegedly threatening a motorist in Seminole County.
.
Reports from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office show EquuSearch member Donna Michelle Brock, 43, of Georgia and Cummings chased and harassed a driver on I-4.
.
"These people are, like, seriously scaring me big time," Courtney Ballinger told a 911 dispatch operator at 11:16 a.m. Wednesday. A shaken Ballinger said the women threatened to beat her. Authorities questioned Brock and Cummings near the Lake Mary exit and later released both women.
.
Cummings told a reporter with WESH-Channel 2 that she and Brock never threatened anyone. She said Ballinger's vehicle almost hit their vehicle."We flicked her off and went about our business," Cummings said at Orlando International Airport on Thursday.
.
Cummings was headed to New York, where she will appear Friday on CBS' "Early Show." In the brief interview, she also denied allegations that she failed a polygraph test about Haleigh's disappearance...
.
"There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Misty Cummings knows exactly what happened to Haleigh," Miller said. "She knows where [Haleigh] is and that she is not alive."Misty Cummings' attorney, Robert Fields, did not return calls to the Orlando Sentinel...
.
Adding to Misty Cummings' family drama is her husband's announcement Wednesday night on Nancy Grace's television show that they are splitting up."Both agreed it's time to move on," said Brandon Beardsley, the attorney for Ronald Cummings. Beardsley said he has not yet filed the divorce in court, but it is an "amicable dissolution."
.
For those who may have missed Nancy Grace on Wednesday, Ron appeared with his usual smug demeanor and evasive answers. First noticable, Grace was calling him Mr. Cummings instead of Ron, as he is usually called with lots of syrup dripping off. Then out of the blue, she said "Mr. Cummings, for the first time I don't believe you. I think you do suspect your ex-wife's, or soon-to-be ex-wife's story, I think you don't want to discuss it in the midst of a divorce. Why? I don't know that yet, but I'll find out."
.
Ron said nothing. I think it took a couple of minutes for it to soak in that he was being dissed. Now he knows how Crystal felt all the times she went on Grace's show. Then you could see him start to simmer. A muscle in his cheek tensed a couple of times. I think we have probably seen the last of Ronnie on that show. He can't possibly and retain his manhood, after a mere woman called him out on National TV.
.
In her airport interview, Misty Cummings said she didn't want to get a divorce, but she didn't want to fight her husband. I'll bet that's true.
.
Ron's lawyer Beardsley said Misty probably needs some time to get away from all the problems surrounding her and Ronald Cummings."Their life together is miserable under all the media scrutiny," Beardsley said. "It's a strain, and it's become old."
.
Does anyone remember the little girl who is missing?

Haleigh Cummings' stepmother Misty stopped in road-rage complaint

Susan Jacobson
Sentinel Staff Writer
Orlando Sentinel
October 7, 2009

Misty Croslin Cummings, stepmother of missing Satsuma girl Haleigh Cummings, was in a car stopped on Interstate 4 today after a motorist complained that she was threatened with a gun.
.
Courtney Ballinger, 25, of Massachusetts, placed a 911 call about 11:15 a.m. to say she was being threatened by two women in a blue Dodge Caliber, a Seminole County sheriff's report states. The encounter ended at Lake Mary Boulevard, where the eastbound Dodge pulled off the highway.
.
Ballinger told a dispatcher that she thought the driver had waved a gun at her and that both women made an obscene gesture toward her. The driver also threatened to beat her up, according to the 911 call."They're waving something around and I don't know what it is, but I don't want to find out," Ballinger told a dispatcher.
.
A deputy arrived and handcuffed Donna Brock, 43, of Georgia, the driver of the Dodge, the report indicates. A Lake Mary police officer handcuffed Cummings, 17, the passenger, according to the report. A search of the car did not turn up a gun, and the two were released...
.
...a deputy wrote [the victim] appeared scared and shaken and said the confrontation began at Maitland Boulevard when the women drove up next to them--they hand gestures and yelled. "These people are like seriously scaring me big time, and I don't get scared easily," Ballinger told the dispatcher...

Misty and Ron Cummings still estranged

The Prairie Chicken
October 5, 2009
.
Just caught the Nancy Grace show and Teresa Neves reports that Misty is once again in Orlando. The 'tiff' between Ron and Misty is two weeks old now. The first week Misty took off it was reported in the media and discussed on more popular blogs and websites. While talking to Ron about reconciliation, there was the fact that Misty had no where to stay if she came back to Satsuma, since her husband has ran her family out of town. Which explains why she stayed with Neves for one night, then went back to Sykes house to reunite with Ron and Jr.
.
The reconciliation lasted, what--3 days? Then Misty headed back to Orlando to stay with a friend whose husband is generously supporting Misty for an however long. I had the horrible thought; what if Misty is staying with George and Cindy Anthony. Pretty far-fetched but stranger things have happened. This comes from Neves' interview on Nancy Grace this evening. Read the transcript here .
.
Art Harris on The Bald Truth also has many new articles on the Cummings Clan, including a new two-part interview with Chelsea Croslin. She sounds sane, clear-headed and normal--an impression I had not felt about any of the Croslin's up to this point. Check him out here.

Hank Croslin Out of Jail; Lisa Croslin issued Arrest Warrant

September 24, 2009
Firstcoastnews.com

-- The brother of a missing north Florida girl's babysitter was released from Putnam County jail around 12:30 this afternoon.

Hank Croslin Jr., the brother of Misty Cummings, was arrested last week on a grand theft charge. His bond, which was $50,000, had been lowered, although it is unclear how much he had to pay to be released.

At the same time, there is a warrant out of Putnam County for the arrest of Lisa Croslin, the mother of Croslin and Cummings, on forgery charges. She may have moved to Tennessee.

Misty Cummings was baby-sitting Haleigh Cummings, then 5, when the girl vanished from her father's mobile home in February. Cummings is now the wife of Ronald Cummings, Haleigh's father.

Haleigh remains missing. Her father was arrested last month after an altercation with Croslin.

What a freaking mess of a family.

Haleigh Cummings update

The Prairie Chicken
September 23, 2009

It is heavily rumored that Ronald Cummings lil' missus, Misty, has left town for places currently unknown. While a video of a "huggy-kissy" Ron and Misty was played on a couple of the mega-news shows on Saturday, by Monday evening the newlyweds apparently had yet another fight, ending with Ron throwing Misty's things in Grandma Sykes front yard, and Misty ultimately getting in a car with a friend and taking off. For being such a ladies man, he sure can't hang on to them.

Art Harris on The Bald Truth reports and posts a copy of a letter from Misty's friend Nay Nay to Donnie, Nay Nay's boyfriend, with whom Nay Nay had stayed the week after the wild weekend of February 7, including the night Haleigh disappeared. She relays to Donnie that a witness named Joe is now saying Misty, with both kids, were with Nay Nay at a party at Chad's and that Haleigh got a dose of Oxy and died. People ARE starting to come forward, but in this land of gators and snakes, who in the heck would we believe? TJ Hart has discussed this theory on Nancy Grace.

I doubt this version. Haleigh surely would have told on Misty if they went to a party--she had in the past when Nay Nay had come to visit while he was gone. Ron didn't want her around Misty. (Typical control freak behavior--disapprove of any personal friends, whatever their social status.) And Oxycontin's don't taste like Skittles, its a bitter pill. I don't believe Haleigh would take it on her own.

Right now I am a bit dumb-struck that Tommy has placed himself at the scene of the crime.

If Misty was gone 'in the 10pm hour' when Tommy came over to check on Misty for Ron, his banging could and probably would have awakened Haleigh. She would open the front door for "Uncle Tommy." He'd been there earlier in the day with his kids. He had the opportunity to stage a kidnapping scene and take Haleigh. Yes, he has children, but Haleigh was not blood relation to him. He'd known her for only four months, the time Ron & Misty had known each other.

And I have always thought the noisy back door looked staged, especially when it would be so much easier and more quiet to go in and out the front. Did Misty simply leave the house for awhile from the front, then left the front door unlocked so she could get back in? Or did she have a key?

Just where was she when Tommy came by? Gone out or passed out?

If she was gone, did she look in on the kids when she got back? Did Misty come back with someone who helped her make bouncy noises on the couch, as Junior reported?

Did Haleigh walk in on a booty-call--did she say she was going to tell?

Will we ever know what happened to her?

Misty Croslin Not Home Night Haleigh Vanished?

Putnam County Investigators Release Details Hoping To Pressure Stepmom
Tuesday, September 22, 2009
news4jax.com

PALATKA, Fla. -- Its been more than seven months since Haleigh Cummings disappeared...

Putnam County investigators said Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, called home from work several times (20 according to news reports) trying to reach his 17-year-old girlfriend, Misty Croslin, who was babysitting Haleigh and her younger brother. No one answered, according to deputies...

According to deputies, Cummings then called Croslin's family looking for her and asked her brother -- Hank (Tommy) Croslin Jr. -- to go check on her and his kids.

"Ronald calls numerous times, Hank says that he answered that call from Ronald, which we know that was made ... It was Ronald saying, 'Go check on Misty,'" Putnam County Maj. Gary Bowling said. "He said he complied with that request and Misty did not answer the door. The house was dark and quiet."

Putnam County investigators got that information last Thursday night during an interview with Hank Croslin Jr. while he was in custody on a grand-theft charge unrelated to the Haleigh Cummings case...

"He tells us that he made a good effort to see if someone was home," Bowling said.
The investigators said Croslin's statement casts more doubt on his sister's story that she was home watching movies that night with the two kids.

"What we need is for Misty to come down here and tell us the truth," Bowling said...

...Misty Croslin-Cummings and her attorney...said they question the credibility of her brother. They have not been getting along and she currently has a restraining order against him.

Field said if they want to talk to Misty Croslin, they should contact him, not try to pressure her by releasing information to the media.

Bowling said Hank Croslin's interview had nothing to do with the search of a pond south of Palatka that began the next afternoon. That search was generated by an unrelated tip and the timing was purely coincidental.

Authorities ask anyone with any information about Haleigh's disappearance to call the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at 386-329-0800 or the FDLE's Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse at 888-FL-MISSING. A $35,000 reward remains in place for Haleigh's safe return or a tip that leads to the conviction of whoever was responsible for her disappearance.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators worked all weekend draining a pond and hoping to find any clues in the case of missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings. But they said despite their efforts, they've found no more evidence involving the girl who vanished seven months ago.

One man said he supports what the sheriff's office did over the weekend in searching for Haleigh, but he said he's not happy with how they did it and how he said it left his property.

Investigators did not say what they were looking for or who gave them a tip. However, they said it has nothing to do with their recent interview with Hank Croslin Jr. His sister Misty Cummings was the last person to see Haleigh the night she went missing.

Tim Pritchard said he's upset with how the search was handled. "The water's just like as if we had a hurricane," Pritchard said. He lives near the pond and said his yard is now full of water...

...Putnam County Sheriff's Office told WAWS that a search would be conducted in the area of the drained lake during the weekend......Earlier reports by First Coast News Friday repeated the claims of several viewers that Haleigh Cummings' body had been recovered.

Haleigh's father Ronald Cummings denied any knowledge of his daughter's body being found when questioned by a First Coast News reporter. Cummings said he had spoken with Haleigh's mother Crystal Sheffield concerning the reports.

Saturday morning, Putnam County law enforcement addressed reports about a connection between the weekend search and the missing little girl, saying the search in the area called the Mondex is not related to the Haleigh Cummings investigation. Police say they drained the lake and are searching the area in an effort to find property reported stolen from a nearby home.

Contradicting the police statements Saturday, the Palatka Daily News, said earlier this morning that Bowling had stated the Mondex search was being conducted for the purpose of finding evidence in the Haleigh Cummings case and was based on tips and investigative interviews.

In Misty Croslin's recent voice stress test, Cummings spoke extensively about the necessity of washing Haleigh's blanket the night she disappeared. Cummings said the blanket "smelt like pee."

Questions about when and why the Cummings family washing machine was running, how Misty washed laundry when there was no detergent in the household at the time, and why the dryer was filled with dirty clothes hover around the periphery of Misty Croslin Cummings' claims about washing Haleigh's blanket.

On the figurative dirty laundry front; ...Haleigh's mother's family is alleging that Haleigh's father abused Haleigh and her younger brother, claiming drug and sex allegations against Misty Croslin Cummings include a weekend of sex with a man other than Ronald Cummings just prior to Haleigh's disappearance, then the disclosure that Misty's cousin (and brother) is a sex offender, revelations of Ronald Cummings' apparent penchant for underage girls and the arrest of both Ronald Cummings and Hank Croslin, Jr. in separate incidents.
