PALAKTA, Fla. -- New drug-related charges are about to be issued against Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say a total of seven buys took place, all involving the drugs Hydrocodone and Oxycodone.

Misty tells her father on a jailhouse video call that she sold 8 to 9 times. Charges will be amended to add two charges...raising her bail to 1.2 million, not reducing it as Misty claims in the video...ain't that a bitch. what are they thinking? This is the most stupid family.

The father of HaLeigh Ann-Marie Cummings, the 5-year-old girl who has been missing since she was reported missing from her Putnam County home nearly a year ago, and his ex-wife were arrested Wednesday on drug trafficking charges after a monthlong undercover investigation, police said...

Ronald L Cummings is facing three counts of trafficking prescription medications, and his bond would be posted at $500,000, according to a statement from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office released late Wednesday.

Misty Janette Croslin, 18, Cummings’ live-in girlfriend when HaLeigh disappeared, is facing six counts of the same charge. Croslin’s bond was set at $950,000.

The Sheriff's Office said that on seven different occasions, undercover investigators purchased the painkillers Oxycodone and Hydrocodone from the suspects and estimated the "street value" of the drugs at $3,900.00...

Three others were also arrested in the ring.

Croslin’s brother, Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr., 23, of Satsuma, is facing one count of the trafficking charge. His bond was $100,000.

Hope A. Sykes, 18, of Satsuma, and Donna Brock, 44, of Orlando, were also arrested.
Sykes is facing one count and will be held on a $150,000 bond. Brock is also facing one count but will be held on a $250,000 bond...

Information was obtained that these individuals were unlawfully selling prescription medications in the community,” the release said. “Sheriff (Jeff Hardy) assigned detectives from the Drug/Vice Unit to the investigation. An undercover Putnam County Detective infiltrated this group, gaining the trust of these drug dealers.”

While the Sheriff’s Office did not connect the alleged drug ring and the disappearance of HaLeigh, the following was added to the bottom of the release..:

It's been a few months since there was any news in Putnam County Florida concerning Haleigh Cummings and her extended family. Leave it to Ron and Misty, though, to kick it up a notch to usher in the New Year.

Misty has reported to authorities that she has been receiving threatening phone calls and it is reported that has had at least one boyfriend since The Ronald.

Ron, in his usual fashion, tried to run a guy off the road (possibly Misty's boyfriend) and then threaten HIM with a gun; a gun Ron swears is locked up at the house.

Haleigh is still missing. Bless her little heart.

In the latest piece, Art talks about the verbal tiff between Tim Miller of Equusearch, father of kidnapped and murdered daughter Laura, and Marc Klass, father of kidnapped and murdered daughter Polly.

Klass started it by criticising Tim Miller's involvement with Donna Brock in relocating Misty Croslin to Orlando to get her away from Ronald, who had made verbal death threats against her, and to glean any possible additional information from Misty.

Miller immediately answered by finding, with his company, his 102nd missing person since he started in 2000. The shocker was Miller responding that Klass did nothing but make a living off of his dead daughters name. wow.

Misty apparently does have an attorney, as this week it was reported that she wants to rescind the restraining order against her brother Tommy. Mom Lisa finally made bond and has been released. She and Tommy are probably not allowed to leave the area without permission, both pending court dates. Her family will pull her back into the fold and they will go on, as families do.

And watch out ladies, Ronald M Cummings is back on the beef-cake market and is on the look-out for his next little girlfriend. Requirements: must be under 18, available to baby-sit and able to accept direction. For his part: he is an unemployed, smoking, drinking, known druggie and suspected drug dealer, who is abusive to women and children, likes to get in fist-fights and act like a tough guy, carries a gun and engages in mind-games and manipulation. And he lives with his grandma. What a catch.

As I predicted last week, when Nancy Grace confronted Ron Cummings on her television show and told him she didn't believe him, I thought we'd seen the last of him there. A lowly woman called him out on national tv. And sure enough, for the rest of the week all she had were clips from previous shows. It appears that the only women who are constant in his life are his mother and grandmother, both of which are apparently willing to financially support his grown-up self, fawn over him and call him Ronnie.

The good news, though, is that the DFS has opened another investigation into Ron Cummings as custodial parent based on Tim Miller's recounting Ron showing Tim an assault rifle, two 32 round clips and stated in front of Jr that Ron would shoot Misty, himself, and take out a couple of people with them. Tim Miller is an impeccable witness. Maybe they will finally see that Jr is in danger and let him go live with his mama.

Then this week, Ronald hit the airwaves with news of the couple's impending divorce, and Misty surfaced in Metro Orlando during an alleged road-rage incident on Interstate 4.

"Every place Misty Cummings goes, she takes destruction with her," Texas-based EquuSearch founder Tim Miller, who helped search for Haleigh, said Thursday...

In the latest incident, deputies on Wednesday detained Cummings and one of Miller's volunteers for allegedly threatening a motorist in Seminole County.

.

Reports from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office show EquuSearch member Donna Michelle Brock, 43, of Georgia and Cummings chased and harassed a driver on I-4.

.

"These people are, like, seriously scaring me big time," Courtney Ballinger told a 911 dispatch operator at 11:16 a.m. Wednesday. A shaken Ballinger said the women threatened to beat her. Authorities questioned Brock and Cummings near the Lake Mary exit and later released both women.

Cummings told a reporter with WESH-Channel 2 that she and Brock never threatened anyone. She said Ballinger's vehicle almost hit their vehicle."We flicked her off and went about our business," Cummings said at Orlando International Airport on Thursday.

Cummings was headed to New York, where she will appear Friday on CBS' "Early Show." In the brief interview, she also denied allegations that she failed a polygraph test about Haleigh's disappearance...

"There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Misty Cummings knows exactly what happened to Haleigh," Miller said. "She knows where [Haleigh] is and that she is not alive."Misty Cummings' attorney, Robert Fields, did not return calls to the Orlando Sentinel...

Adding to Misty Cummings' family drama is her husband's announcement Wednesday night on Nancy Grace's television show that they are splitting up."Both agreed it's time to move on," said Brandon Beardsley, the attorney for Ronald Cummings. Beardsley said he has not yet filed the divorce in court, but it is an "amicable dissolution."

For those who may have missed Nancy Grace on Wednesday, Ron appeared with his usual smug demeanor and evasive answers. First noticable, Grace was calling him Mr. Cummings instead of Ron, as he is usually called with lots of syrup dripping off. Then out of the blue, she said "Mr. Cummings, for the first time I don't believe you. I think you do suspect your ex-wife's, or soon-to-be ex-wife's story, I think you don't want to discuss it in the midst of a divorce. Why? I don't know that yet, but I'll find out."

Ron said nothing. I think it took a couple of minutes for it to soak in that he was being dissed. Now he knows how Crystal felt all the times she went on Grace's show. Then you could see him start to simmer. A muscle in his cheek tensed a couple of times. I think we have probably seen the last of Ronnie on that show. He can't possibly and retain his manhood, after a mere woman called him out on National TV.

In her airport interview, Misty Cummings said she didn't want to get a divorce, but she didn't want to fight her husband. I'll bet that's true.

Ron's lawyer Beardsley said Misty probably needs some time to get away from all the problems surrounding her and Ronald Cummings."Their life together is miserable under all the media scrutiny," Beardsley said. "It's a strain, and it's become old."

Just caught the Nancy Grace show and Teresa Neves reports that Misty is once again in Orlando. The 'tiff' between Ron and Misty is two weeks old now. The first week Misty took off it was reported in the media and discussed on more popular blogs and websites. While talking to Ron about reconciliation, there was the fact that Misty had no where to stay if she came back to Satsuma, since her husband has ran her family out of town. Which explains why she stayed with Neves for one night, then went back to Sykes house to reunite with Ron and Jr.

The reconciliation lasted, what--3 days? Then Misty headed back to Orlando to stay with a friend whose husband is generously supporting Misty for an however long. I had the horrible thought; what if Misty is staying with George and Cindy Anthony. Pretty far-fetched but stranger things have happened. This comes from Neves' interview on Nancy Grace this evening. It is heavily rumored that Ronald Cummings lil' missus, Misty, has left town for places currently unknown. While a video of a "huggy-kissy" Ron and Misty was played on a couple of the mega-news shows on Saturday, by Monday evening the newlyweds apparently had yet another fight, ending with Ron throwing Misty's things in Grandma Sykes front yard, and Misty ultimately getting in a car with a friend and taking off. For being such a ladies man, he sure can't hang on to them.

Art Harris on The Bald Truth reports and posts a copy of a letter from Misty's friend Nay Nay to Donnie, Nay Nay's boyfriend, with whom Nay Nay had stayed the week after the wild weekend of February 7, including the night Haleigh disappeared. She relays to Donnie that a witness named Joe is now saying Misty, with both kids, were with Nay Nay at a party at Chad's and that Haleigh got a dose of Oxy and died. People ARE starting to come forward, but in this land of gators and snakes, who in the heck would we believe? TJ Hart has discussed this theory on Nancy Grace.

I doubt this version. Haleigh surely would have told on Misty if they went to a party--she had in the past when Nay Nay had come to visit while he was gone. Ron didn't want her around Misty. (Typical control freak behavior--disapprove of any personal friends, whatever their social status.) And Oxycontin's don't taste like Skittles, its a bitter pill. I don't believe Haleigh would take it on her own.

Right now I am a bit dumb-struck that Tommy has placed himself at the scene of the crime.

If Misty was gone 'in the 10pm hour' when Tommy came over to check on Misty for Ron, his banging could and probably would have awakened Haleigh. She would open the front door for "Uncle Tommy." He'd been there earlier in the day with his kids. He had the opportunity to stage a kidnapping scene and take Haleigh. Yes, he has children, but Haleigh was not blood relation to him. He'd known her for only four months, the time Ron & Misty had known each other.

And I have always thought the noisy back door looked staged, especially when it would be so much easier and more quiet to go in and out the front. Did Misty simply leave the house for awhile from the front, then left the front door unlocked so she could get back in? Or did she have a key?

Just where was she when Tommy came by? Gone out or passed out?

If she was gone, did she look in on the kids when she got back? Did Misty come back with someone who helped her make bouncy noises on the couch, as Junior reported?

Did Haleigh walk in on a booty-call--did she say she was going to tell?

Will we ever know what happened to her?

PALATKA, Fla. -- Its been more than seven months since Haleigh Cummings disappeared...

Putnam County investigators said Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, called home from work several times (20 according to news reports) trying to reach his 17-year-old girlfriend, Misty Croslin, who was babysitting Haleigh and her younger brother. No one answered, according to deputies...

According to deputies, Cummings then called Croslin's family looking for her and asked her brother -- Hank (Tommy) Croslin Jr. -- to go check on her and his kids.

"Ronald calls numerous times, Hank says that he answered that call from Ronald, which we know that was made ... It was Ronald saying, 'Go check on Misty,'" Putnam County Maj. Gary Bowling said. "He said he complied with that request and Misty did not answer the door. The house was dark and quiet."

Putnam County investigators got that information last Thursday night during an interview with Hank Croslin Jr. while he was in custody on a grand-theft charge unrelated to the Haleigh Cummings case...

"He tells us that he made a good effort to see if someone was home," Bowling said.
The investigators said Croslin's statement casts more doubt on his sister's story that she was home watching movies that night with the two kids.

"What we need is for Misty to come down here and tell us the truth," Bowling said...

...Misty Croslin-Cummings and her attorney...said they question the credibility of her brother. They have not been getting along and she currently has a restraining order against him.

Field said if they want to talk to Misty Croslin, they should contact him, not try to pressure her by releasing information to the media.

Bowling said Hank Croslin's interview had nothing to do with the search of a pond south of Palatka that began the next afternoon. That search was generated by an unrelated tip and the timing was purely coincidental.

Authorities ask anyone with any information about Haleigh's disappearance to call the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at 386-329-0800 or the FDLE's Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse at 888-FL-MISSING. A $35,000 reward remains in place for Haleigh's safe return or a tip that leads to the conviction of whoever was responsible for her disappearance.

Now this is interesting. Not only have Timmy and Chelsea moved to Massachusetts (with Lindsy planning to move there too), but now Lisa and Hank Sr have up and moved to Tennessee. Apparently they can be reached at Lisa's mothers house. Why are they all running?

Maybe Tommy wanted a gun to protect himself from Ron. What better than to steal from and old man to get one? What a slimeball. I hope Putnam County sheriffs don't "lose" the gun. It's an antique.

SATSUMA, Fla. -- The father of a missing Putnam County girl is having more trouble with his in-laws.

Ronald Cummings, father of 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings, stuffed a dead rat into his new father-in-law's mailbox, Hank Croslin told the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

Croslin filed the report Wednesday, saying that a neighbor saw Cummings put the rodent in his mailbox at about midnight Tuesday.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is investigating the claim.

This latest scuffle comes just days after Cummings was booked into the Putnam County Jail on charges that he beat up Hank Croslin and his wife Misty Croslin's brother at the couple's home...

Cummings proposed to Croslin in a Palatka Chili's on March 8 and the two wed shortly after, out by the alley in back of his grandma's house.

GLEN ST. MARY, Fla. -- Investigators searched the property and a lake of Haleigh Cummings' maternal grandmother in Baker County west of Jacksonville on Friday.

About 40 investigators, including the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office dive team and cadaver dogs, searched a small pond on Marie Griffis' 30-acre property and dug up several areas with a bulldozer, according to a report on the Web site of First Coast News.

The area was searched about a week after 5-year-old Haleigh was reported missing from her home in Putnam County in February. But police told First Coast News that they recently were told the family buries animals on the property, so a new search was ordered.

Police said they have no reason to doubt the family's assertion about animals but want to be thorough. Only animal remains were found on Friday, but the search continues on the property of another relative who lives nearby.

Ronald Cummings begged the public for help to find his missing 5-year-old daughter Haleigh Cummings in a video released last week on his lawyer's Web site.

But today he amended that message -- he wants help from everyone except Cindy and George Anthony. "The family of Ronald Cummings, father of Haleigh Cummings, wishes to make it clear that they do not want any involvement by George and Cindy Anthony in the continuing search for Haleigh Cummings," according to a news release issued by the Kimball & Snider Law Firm, which represents Cummings.

"The Anthony's have their own agenda, as witnessed by their recent media tour. The facts relating to the death of Calee (sic) Anthony, which resulted in the first degree murder charges against Casey Anthony, are in no way similar to Haleigh's disappearance," the release said...

Haleigh Cummings disappeared from her bed in rural Satsuma February 9/10, 2009...Caylee Anthony, 2, was last seen June 16, 2008...

Sure would like to hear what has gone on behind closed doors. Cindy and George are holding up well, evidently, soliciting a possible link between the kidnappings of the little girls from the Cummings/Sheffield families. Jesse Grund and Rico and Tony have all been cleared, Zenaida Gonzales at. el. are destroying the Zani defense.

Now the Anthony's have been swatted away like pesky gnats by a drug-adled, redneck, bully. The best thing they could do for Casey is to testify to the truth, whatever it may be, then go home and shut-up until October. Casey has never been made to suffer the circumstances of her actions. Let her do it now. May be a harsh lesson, but it was a harsh crime.

Same goes for Misty. She won't be able to keep this secret for long. She likes to party and get high, and will eventually spill her story to someone.

Phillip Clark Sprengeler, 24, has been charged with lewd and lascivious battery on a victim under the age of 16.

The father of the underage victim told deputies he found his daughter in bed with Sprengeler Wednesday morning.

Investigators say the two had been having a relationship for several months. Sprengeler, according to investigators, is a "friend of the family".

I can't help wondering if Florida is setting a precedence on man/girl 'relationships' in order to pave the way to the prosecution of Ron Cummings. Having sex with minors in Florida has obviously been casually disregarded for years. He seems to have a penchant for young girls and has impregnated at least two when they were 16. Maybe not. Sprengeler was reported by the girls father. Maybe if the parents don't care, as appears to be the case in Putnam County, no one else cares either.

In a dramatic new twist in the case of missing Haleigh Cummings, two young women with close ties to the father of the missing five year old, Ronald, and his new bride, Misty Cummings, were arrested and booked Monday morning into the Putnam County Jail on charges of cocaine possession.

Amber Nicole Brooks, 20, of Palatka, Florida, the mother of Cummings’ 20-month old son, Jordan, was arrested by Putnam County sheriffs deputies, booked into jail at 8:04 a.m. and charged with cocaine possession, smuggling “contraband” into a detention facility and failing to appear for another outstanding warrant.

Bond was set at $2,512.00 for the three felony charges, according to the Putnam County Jail log.
Also arrested and booked (at 8:39 a.m.): Kristina Renee Prevatt, 18, aka “Nay Nay,” the party pal of Misty Cummings...

On Monday, Prevatt was charged with possession of cocaine and trying to smuggle contraband into a detention facility, records show. Her bond was set at $2008.00...

She also says Amber Brooks borrowed her car recently, and got it stuck in the mud, reportedly running from a man with a machete. She says Misty still had clothes in her trunk from that lost weekend, but they have since been removed.

Prevatt describes this and more in our exclusive television interview between her and pro bono private investigator and bounty hunter William Staubs, aka “Cobra,” who is expected back in Satsuma late Monday.

As for Amber Brooks, in a recent exclusive interview with The Bald Truth, she [says] she once lived with Ronald and took care of Haleigh and her little brother, Junior, before their son, Jordan, was born, then split with Cummings who she said has paid no child support, and raised their son as a single mother.

With a previous drug arrest on the books, Brooks has been struggling to raise their son, who has been quietly cared for by her grandmother in Palatka, but Jordan’s future may be up in the air after a surprise visit by Ronald Cummings Sunday.

Indeed, just before 10 p.m. Sunday night, April 19, according to a 911 call [as was] heard on a police scanner, Brooks’ grandmother called the Putnam County Sheriff’s dispatcher to report Cummings had pulled up outside her house in his purple Nissan Ultima and sent Haleigh’s little brother, Junior, to her door to ask for his little brother, Jordan.

When the grandmother refused, she told police, a black man who was apparently with Cummings appeared and asked for the child. That’s when my source says he heard the grandmother tell 911 she locked the door and called police, who confirmed the incident, including a BOLO (be on the lookout) for Cummings and a police cruiser that was dispatched.

“That’s how I understand it went down,” said PCSD Captain Dick Schauland in a phone interview with The Bald Truth.

Lt. Johnny Greenwood, also a PCSD spokesman, confirmed the arrests of Prevatt and Brooks. He said both had been cooperative in previous interviews with task force detectives when questioned about Haleigh’s kidnapping, but saw no connection with that case and the arrests.

“I don’t know how investigators may want to talk to them. I know they’ve talked to them already…and they’ve been cooperative the whole time,” Lt. Greenwood tells me. “Usually, charges like that might be used as leverage, but in this case they’ve already been cooperative.”

Cooperative or not, one investigator on the case told me Monday the task force would explore whether the cocaine arrests might be still be used to “squeeze” the women for any undisclosed information that might help move the stalled case forward.

“We’re waiting on that one tip to come in. Somebody knows something,” Lt. Greenwood tells me. “Somebody out there knows what happened. It’s just gonna take them slipping up and telling somebody, or somebody hears something. That’s all it’s going to take, one tip.”

In the exclusive interview with Prevatt, Nay Nay, as everyone calls her, says she picked Misty up after a fight with Ronald mid-week before Haleigh vanished, drove her to meet Page, and off they went on their party girl weekend—and had a surprise encounter with Brooks. Her account dovetails with what Page, or “White Boy Greg” as he’s called on the street, told us in his exclusive sit down.

Both describe Page’s brief romantic hook up with Misty, and her physical altercation with Amber Brooks at a party where witnesses tell me the cat-fighting women had to be physically pulled apart.

While Amber tells me Ronald Cummings rarely saw their son, friends say Brooks remains bitter that Misty moved in with her ex, and may have been angling to take away her son. Investigators theorize a number of dynamics at play, including a Misty who may have been jealous of the women who had previously had children by her main man.

Kim Picazio, lawyer for Crystal Sheffield, tells me Brooks described to her how Cummings would “smack” his son, Junior, causing nose bleeds —a similar account Brooks told me as well — but a police source says Amber also praised Ronald as a fine father who did not abuse the kids in a recent interview with the task force.

“She tells people what she thinks they want to hear,” said a lead investigator in the stalled missing child case.

In an exclusive interview, the task force official who asked that his name not be used, tells me investigators on the Haleigh case would be exploring any conflicts between the bit players in this twisted epic of Jerry Springer proporations, in an attempt to learn more from the two women about Haleigh’s disappearance than previously shared under police questioning.

Sources tell me sheriff’s investigators interviewed Brooks last week after she also met with investigators for Putnam County Department of Family Services who questioned her about Ronald Cummings alleged abuse–charges leveled by Haleigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield, who is trying to regain custody of their son, Junior.

Through his attorneys, Ronald Cummings has denied any physical abuse towards the children, and maintains he’s the better parent by a longshot. tsk.

DFS has previously investigated Cummings and reportedly found his use of physical punishment within the acceptable bounds of parental discipline.
