Public Memorial Planned for Caylee Anthony
A public memorial service has been planned for Caylee Anthony, but an exact time and date has not been determined.
The memorial service for the slain 2-year-old will be held at the First Baptist Orlando church.
The service will be held in the main Worship Center of the John Young Parkway Campus.
Senior Pastor of First Baptist Orlando Dr. David Uth issued a statement regarding the memorial service.
"I believe God placed First Baptist Church of Orlando here in Central Florida to make a difference in this community, and to love this community," he said. "We believe our purpose is to be a lighthouse, especially in difficult and dark times. One of those times is now as we have all been saddened by the death of Caylee Anthony. As a church, we want to provide hope, healing and the opportunity to experience God's love. We believe that hosting the service will give us the opportunity to minister to a family in need and to a community that is hurting because of the loss of this precious child."
The church's 130-acre main campus is located at 3000 S. John Young Parkway at the intersection of Interstate 4, southwest of downtown Orlando.
Specific details about the service will be released as soon as additional information is available.
Originally, there was an official date set for Caylee's memorial in early February.
However, another statement was issued saying the time and date will be announced when more information is available.
George and Cindy Anthony's attorney said the family doesn't want a memorial until it can bury Caylee. Caylee's immediate family will attend the memorial service.
