Is it possible to tell if the remains found near the Anthony home were recently put there? Dr. Michael Baden joins by phone. On Aug. 5, there was no water in the area, that is a cuirous piece of information.
Dr. Baden: When Tim Miller was there, the area was under water. The cadaver dogs, if able to get into the area, they would have found the remains, much like Chandra Levy, they were unable to go into the area where Chandra was found. I think that an issue comes up. Either they missed it, or it was put there afterwards. And if it was put their afterwards, someone else was involved.
Greta: Will the use of entomologists and anthropologist be used to determine if the remains were placed there recently or last June?
Baden: Yes, I think that depending on what is in the bag with the remains. Entomologists and botanists will study plant life and insets to see if they have come from that area or some place away. Insects travel just a few yards in their whole life. if there are different insects for the area, that means the remains have been moved to this are.
