The Gary Michael Hilton case-management conference has been postponed.
Chief Assistant State Attorney Jackie Fulford said prosecutors and defense attorneys aren't ready to pick a trial date.
The hearing was rescheduled for May 1.
Hilton is charged in the slaying of Cheryl Dunlap, a Crawfordville resident and Florida State University nurse.
A case-management conference has been set for 10 a.m. today in Leon Circuit Court for Gary Michael Hilton, who is charged in the killing of Cheryl Dunlap. Dunlap's body was found in December 2007 in the Apalachicola National Forest.
Hilton, a drifter and suspected serial killer, was later arrested on charges of kidnapping and first-degree murder in Dunlap's death.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
He has already been convicted in the murder of Georgia hiker Meredith Emerson.
